Dr. John Dock Tallent
Dr. John Dock Tallent was born and raised in Vale, N.C. He was the Valedictorian of the 2013 graduating class at West Lincoln High School. Following high school, he attended Appalachian State University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry in 2017, graduating again #1 in his class. During his time at Appalachian, he found his passion for dentistry through observing many dentists, including Dr. Keith and Dr. Brian Dedmond. John Dock then went on to attend The University of North Carolina School of Dentistry and graduated as a part of the class of 2021. In his senior year of dental school, John Dock was bestowed the James A Harrell Award for leadership and citizenship. Dr. Tallent is now a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentists, and the Foothills Dental Continuum of the Seattle Study Club.
Since graduation, John Dock is excited to have the chance to return to and rejoin his hometown community in Lincoln County once again. He has a large family, and is happy to be back closer to them. He is a member of Reeps Grove United Methodist Church. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, his girlfriend Erica, and their dog Penelope. When he is not with friends and family or practicing dentistry, it is likely he can be found somewhere on a golf course.
